Pizza News Featuring Cocoa

The owner of a Cardiff Pizza parlour must be confused and wondering if they should be feeling insulted.

For the third time in six weeks the restaurant has been broken into by the same perpetrator caught on CCTV.  Each break in has caused thousands of pounds worth of damage and each time the thief has taken a 1 kilo tub of cocoa and a few odd items like tea lights and napkins before making off.  The CCTV footage that has been released shows the perpetrator nonchalantly returning into the shop to gather more items, yet the most valuable item he takes is the cocoa.

The pizza parlour is located at a place known as the Boneyard which is a repurposed old scaffolders yard that is home to a few small businesses.

The units are unusual; they are converted shipping containers, something that are known as hard to get into.  However, the pizza business has glass French doors which create a weak spot.  The first time entry was made by smashing the glass which then had to be boarded up.  Subsequently he can be seen on the CCTV using a crowbar to gain entry.  The value of goods are so low, but the cost of repairs are problematic for the business and of course it could impact on insurance too.

The owner praises the police who are quick to respond.  No one can work out why the thief keeps returning or why he is only taking low value items.  The higher value pizza ingredients are left completely untouched.

The perplexed business owner is now wondering if he should leave a kilo of cocoa outside the door with a few tea lights and napkins as a package to prevent the cost of repairs.

This guy in Wales is not the only cocoa thief in the news either. In Brevard County, Florida police are requesting help to identify two suspects following theft.  However, don’t be too alarmed this is not an international organised cocoa theft gang.  The Florida two are wanted in a town called Cocoa . Phew!

The Cardiff Pizza shop started out as a pop-up selling pizza ran from a van at markets and is a well thought of local business with good reviews, so it’s all very bizarre.

At least the rest of us don’t have to worry about a big problem of international cocoa thefts though.

Another thing that helps prevent the headaches of worry is the right insurance and that is something that the great team at http://localhost/cateringinsurance2/pizza-shop-insurance/ can definitely help you with.
